So I have been looking on Craigslist for MONTHS for a dresser/buffet/hutch/console (all my search words!) for my dining room and last week I finally found it! Here is the before...just a plain ol wood dresser but what got me was the curvy lines...we like curves around here!
Here she is all cleaned up, painted white and ready for some chocolate glaze...sounds yummy doesn't it?!
This is a close up so you can see the glaze in the crevices...love it!
AND...tada!! Here she is all gussied up and looking beautiful! Is it wierd to say...I'm in love?! This project has been super fun and my good friend, Tara Byrd over at Byrd's Eye View totally guided and helped me to get it looking so good! Thanks girl!!
I cannot wait to change out those blue plates for some cute fall ones!

okay friend - for the past week or so i've been getting lost in blog world on sites that have shabby chic decorating ideas. fabulous stuff! and you fit right in! this dresser looks a lot like the one we have in our bedroom - hmmm ... might have to think about converting it like you did! only problem - i spent days and days stripping it, staining it and then bowdie's dad poly-ed it for me (way back when we first married) ... putting color on it might just kill me!!!! :)
Ash...it looks awesome! can't wait for your great ideas on all my old drabby furniture! :)
It looks fantastic! I really like you're blue plates, but Fall ones will look pretty too. Good job!

Love it! The white is gorgeous. What kind of glaze did you decide to use?
Awesome job Ash....it's stunning!!!
Love it! I also have a window like you but I put mine over our fireplace. I have 3 more in my garage and I want to use them all but it might be window overkill! Love your buffet, isn't spraypaint/paint wonderful? So is craigslist!
The wait paid OFF! I love it! The curves are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
